Edgbaston Wharf

Just to stop me from going completely mental whilst writing my dissertation, I thought I might put together a small model railway.

My student accommodation is less than 100 metres from the Birmingham West Suburban Railway and the adjacent Worcester and Birmingham Canal. So it only seems natural that there should be a wharf for the interchange between the two.

It’s a classic 5/3/3 Inglenook Sidings shunting puzzle in N scale with no scenery and it fits in a drawer. The rules are here. The mathematical proof is here. As it is set on the LMS, a Jinty seems appropriate.

A bit of fun shuffling a few wagons about in the evening after my brain has said enough-is-enough for the day with the dissertation. : – )
